COLOR

ColorJosef Albers (March 19, 1888–March 25, 1976)has achieved one of the most radical and brave research on colors, seeking to cultivate a new way of studying and understanding them. By essay and error, he has found their intimate interaction which finally leads our perception into a surprising visual illusion. His findings cross visual arts as well as physics and psychology. The workshop of Color is aimed to work on the main and more impressive interactions of colors explained by Josef Albers and to provide an instance in which we can make use of this knowledge for our free interpretation.



The method we will apply is the original of Josef Albers. We will work on paper strips of all different kinds of colors. Even the most subtle difference between them can make a difference in our experimental workshop. The student that wants to enroll has to prepare his/her collection of papers carefully. More you have, better chances you may get - I mean everyone should have a shoebox full of color …
